DO INTERCASTE MARRIAGE YOUR SELF OR YOUR CHILDREN TO BE A MEMBER OF THAT CASTE!!!!!

C. L. Chumber

Reverse caste bias alleged in Canada

The same day I received a book titled “How to win any argument --Do not raise your voice, lose your cool or come to blows "written by Mr. Robert Mayer as a gift on renewing the subscription of renowned magazine the Reader’s Digest. We will also argue to discuss this incident. First of all, we have sympathy for both gentlemen. But they are wrong that they belong to higher Jatt caste .In Varna / caste system, no one is higher than Brahmin. The Hindu Bhagwan Krishna said in his Gita that women, vaish and shudra varnas are impure .This means Brahmins born to women are automatically impure and equivalent to other castes / varnas. That is why Adi-Mahagurus Ravidass and Kabir challenged Brahmin’s supermacy. Adi-Mahaguru Ravidass said there is no difference between God and livings. There is only difference like gold and ornaments made out of it, water and its currents. Adi-Mahaguru Kabir dared to challenge the Brahmin priest class that all are born equals. If the Brahmin is superior to others then he must be born another way. Adi-Mahaguru Kabir was so deadly against the Brahmins that he not only denounced the Hinduism but also warned their followers to beware of the Hindu Gods. He said in his couplet that Ram is my father-in-law and I am his son-in-law, Ram is my brother-in -law (sala) and I am his Jija. Again Adi-Mahaguru Kabir warned that the person who worships Ram s/o Dashrath is a worst than dog and will go to hell! Adi-Mahaguru Namdev founder of the Bhakti movement said that the Hindu is a blind and Turak (Muslim) is blemished. In the same way Guru Nanak preached his first sermon at Sultanpur Lodhi that there was neither Hindu nor Musalman. All are equals.

Let us search our hearts. Are we equals despite our gurus preaching? Are we equals despite our Indian constitution recognizes us equals? Are we equals in our foreign country when our respective country’s constitution recognizes us equals. The Jatts and other backward classes treated us untouchables. Why? Brahmins, Kshattriyas and Vaishes treated us untouchables. Then what is the difference between the castiest Brahmins and Jatts. The ' Karhah parshad “of untouchables was not accepted even in the Golden Temple, Amritsar upto 12 th October, 1920. The Khalsa community ( untouchables ) arranged a rally on 11 and 12 Oct.1920 in the Jallianwala Bagh , Amritsar against the untouchability in the Sikh Gurudwaras especially in the Golden Temple .Prof. Teja Singh in his autobiography named " Aarsi" recorded this historical incident .This book is published by the Punjabi University, Patiala . Mr. Ruchi Ram Sahni also wrote a book in English on the Gurdwaras reform movement which was published by the S.G.P.C. Amritsar . The S.G.P.C., Amritsar also published a book in Punjabi named “Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Da Itihaas “in which the un-touchability in the Golden Temple is recorded. S. Daljit Singh M.P. wrote biography of Prof. Ditt Ram Gyani @ Prof. Ditt Singh Gyani in which he recorded the un-touchability in the Golden Temple. He wrote that the untouchables were allowed in the Golden Temple between 11.00 A.M. to!.00 P.M. when theirs shadows fell below theirs own feet and did not fell on touchable! I am proud of my forefathers who participated in the movement against untouchability in the Golden Temple and two our forefathers Bhai Gulab Singh and Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh sacrificed theirs lives in the Nankana Sahib Gurdwara tragedy .The Punjabi book of S.G.P.C. and the' Sikh Leadership ' of G.N.D. University, Amritsar published theirs profiles with photographs . The S.G.P.C. appointed our uncle S. Balwant Singh who retired as officer. Advocate S. Narinder Singh two times president of the Distt. Bar Association is his daughter’s son. The residents of our ancestral village Hussain Abad (Saina bad) P.O. Sarih Tehsil Nakodar District Jalandhar (on Nakodar-Phagwara road and on Jalandhar -Ferozepur via Nakodar railway line) erected a building in memory of martyrs Bhai Gulab Singh Chumber and Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh Chumber .We are proud of our forefathers who laid down their lives by burning alive to stop the un-touchability practice. The S.G.P.C. and all Akali Dals dominated by Jatts do not highlight this movement which is just like Dr. Ambawdekar`s movements of Kala Ram temple entry and Mahad Tank!

But the manuwadis again posesed the Gurdwaras and changed the committee under S. Sunder Singh Ramgarhia .The movement against untouchability was initiated under Bhai Mehtab Singh, the backward class Arain Muslim turned Sikh of village Baka Pur a village situated on G. T. Road NH-1 in between Ludhiana and Jalandhar nearest to Phillaur a Tehsil H .Q. and Bhai Bajaj (Ravidassia caste) of village Jandu Singha on Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur road. My grandfather S. Dhanna Singh Chumber @ Bapu Dhanna Ram Chumber’s in-laws was in village Jandu Singha. The Bhapas and now Jatts dominated S. G. P. C. and Akali Dals finished Bhai Bir and Bhai Bajaj from history. On 12th Oct. 2000, I celebrated the Rights Day (Adhikar Divas) in the Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Hall, Jalandhar City to commemorate the end of untouchability in the Golden Temple on 12th Oct.1920, the sanction of some rights to the untouchables by the Governor of Punjab due to the struggle of gadhrite Baba Babu Mangu Ram Muggowalia’s Adi-Dharam Mandal, Baba Banda Bahadur`s Victory on a town which falls on 12th Oct., Dr. Ambawdekar`s a victory against untouchability fell on 12th Oct. The Badal Govt. some B.S.P. leaders of Jalandhar to torpedo the programme so that the people of all walks may not join under the leadership of Shahid-e-azam Sahib Kanshi Ram Ji. He was our chief guest. Those B.S.P .leaders are now SAD (BADAL) `s workers!

The Adi-Mahaguru Ravidass adi-dwara committee’s decision is right because the Jatts hates scheduled castes .That is why the Adi-Dharmis built theirs separate Adi-Dwaras . The Adi-Dharam is a separate religion and have no connection with any another religion .Mahatma Sant Singh Azad @ Sant Ram Azad of village Nangal Shahidan ( on Hoshiarpur-Mahilpur road) also participated in the Nankana Sahib Gurdwara reform movement. A Jatt of his village said," Aa bai Santia .Tun bi aa gian (Come in Santia. Have you also come?" Mahatma Sant Ram Azad did not reply and left the place. After some time, Azad Ji came back." what is your appearance?’ The same Jatt asked. “You did not treat me as S. Sant Singh Azad .Therefore I am now clean shaven and Mahatma Sant Ram Azad!” Azad Ji said.

Ghadri Baba Babu Ram Muggowalia founded the Adi-Dharam Mandal branch at Raikot town in Ludhiana Distt. The untouchables of a nearby village Sehjarha on Raikot-Barnala road built a Adi-Mahaguru Ravidass’s Adi-Dwara .The Jatts of the village and surrounding area reported the Police. The village was under the jurisdiction of the Patiala Princely state and the Maharaja ordered to put the responsible untouchables behind the bars! S. Gurbakhsh Singh Rahi (of Barnala) an SGPC missionary recorded this tragedy in his auto-biography in Punjabi because Sehjarha is his ancestral village! Sant Jaswant Singh Ghawadhi @ Sant Jamuna Das Ghawaddi was a staunch follower of Adi-Dharam and he wrote half dozen books on Adi-Mahaguru Ravidass Ji in Punjabi and Hindi languages. Baba Muggowalia mentioned his name in his auto-biographical essay. I visited this village first of all with Mr. Sutey Parkash Ahir Canada`s elder brother in 1980 AD. In Ghawadhi village situated on Ludhiana-Malerkotla road near village Sarinh .Some Sikhs ordered untouchables to close down all the Gurdwaras except Jatt-Gurdwara. An untouchable Sikh retired teacher argued that there are Gurdwaras of Ravidasias, Mazabhis, Kumihars and Jatts in our village. Let us draw a lottery of all Gurdwaras. We will open the Gurdwara of which name will be in draw. The Jatts dropped the idea!

There was a seminar on Adi-Mahaguru Ravidass in Feb.2008 arranged by DAV College, Dasuya (Hoshiarpur). I also participated. A Sikh Professor of Guru Gobind Singh College, Garhdiwala (Hoshiarpur) objected that Guru Ravidass is Bhagat not Guru .I asked that you are not great than Guru Gobind Singh .Guru Ji said that there will be no Guru after him. Adi-Granth will be Guru Granth sahib. I argued that if Vani / Bani is Guru then the writers of these Bani are Mahaguru! Mr. Manohar Lal Mahey of Vigilant Brotherhood, Jalandhar was so happy on this development that he at once cried with over joy," Chumber sahib! Now there will be a compromise on Guru! “I said," I will not do Puna Pact. We are separate identity!" I wrote Adi-Mahagurus from that day." The Sikh Gurus praised/followed our Adi-Mahagurus! But their Sikhs hate us without any reason. I wrote in their side and got registered a case against me under TADA 3/4 and IPC 153-A .They neither protected me nor appreciated. A Sikh intellectual S. Ajmer Singh pursuing me to hand over him a copy of the special issue on Punjab Problem of the “Kaumi Udarian” so that he may write about me but I refused to hand over it because his a close friend and Sikh News paper group had a clear hand in my road accident at Phagwara on 7th Feb.1997 in which I lost my two brothers (from community) for ever. An aimless person quarrels with each others. The persons having aim, dedication and concentration co-operate, co-ordinate with each others.

The Jatt Sikhs never started a social reform movement. They ask the govt. to give them the Australian rate of wheat but they will never agree for Australian rate for labour. Mr. Sahota and Mr. Shergill boasted that Jatts are high caste. Dr. Jagjit Singh in his book 'Sikh Revolution" wrote that in Mughal period a Jatt had to appear in the court with a dog due to his lower caste. The Jatt is not a caste. The Punjab Language Department., Patiala published a book “Punjab Castes" .There is a table in which the number person of each caste is written who converted to Jatts. This is the census 1881 AD. I had also seen the same type table in census 1931 AD.

Today I had seen the prospectus of the Layalpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar City full of Jatts Management committee. The same position of Sikh colleges at Nakodar, Phagwara, Sangh Dhesian, Banga, Garh Shankar, Mahilpur, Garhdiwala etc. The Jatts (majority) have surrendered to Hinduism through S. Parkash Singh Badal. He is the Chief Minister of Punjab. His only son is the president of the ruling party. His brother`s son is the Khaa-jana minister. His daughter`s husband is also cabinet minister. His daughter-in-law`s brother is also cabinet minister. Another relative S. Janmeja Singh is also a cabinet minister. Another relative is also an M.L.A. from Jalandhar Cantt. The poor Jatts are committing suicides and S. Badal`s kitchen cabinet is enjoying. This may be recorded in the Guinness and Limca record books!

We appreciate the NRI Adi-Dharamis for building Adi-Dwaras. Now they must open at least one college in a Tehsil so that the education mission may be completed as early as possible. I have produced my three children as managers in MNCs. I had pledged my sweet home with a nationalized bank for my children’s higher study. Now they are repaying the loan. Please hate our socio-economic status. This will be improved by higher professional study only. DO OR DIE FOR COMING GENERATION. DON`T BLAME OTHERS. BE UNITED & FIGHT FOR OUR HUMAN RIGHTS.THANKS.
